I would like to convert my 69 F-100 front drum brakes over to disc brakes. I was thinking about getting the spindles off of a 70's F-100 or F-150. If anyone has any ideas or has done this conversion in the same way or another please let me know. Thanx in advance!!
LAST EDITED ON 08-Mar-01 AT 11:56 PM (EST)[p]Just replace the complete "I" beams. It is an unbolt-boltup process. Not very difficult to do. I would think that you would need to replace the master cyl. with one that has the larger fluid capacity on the disc side. How 'bout it John W. Is that right?
Yes sir that is a start. Find a donor with a good tight front end, get the I-beams, brake lines, line mounts, master cyl, booster, prop. valve, and exchange it all over. You will need to drill a new hole in the shaft that comes through the cab, so you can lower the pedal.
If we can help further, just let us know.
