Axle Compatibility

I am looking at a L/S axle out of a 1994 F250 Diesel. 4:10.
I currently have a one wheel wonder for my 1990 F250 (gas) truck. 4:10 code 35. Can anyone tell me if these are interchangable? OR- can anyone recommend a reasonable priced new diff for a true posi? I was looking a bit at detroits. Thanks

Yes, they will fit, but unless it's a rebuilt axle, the clutch packs are probably worn down or close to it. They're good for 100k, maybe, and then you have to have them replaced. Detroit lockers are bulletproof, but less street friendly than a limited slip. If you live somewhere with ice on the roads, you will probably hate the locker altogether.
