Hi everyone...thought I would Start a Q&A for electrical issues.
I looked allover these forums and could not find what I needed to, so here we go, a Topic dedicated to the always fun and entertaining ELECTICAL WORLD.
So, let me pose the first question...Issue..<o></o>
My 03' F350PSD just rolled 100k and all of a sudden my back up sensors don’t work, when I put the truck in reverse the sensors automatically turn off, and I can't turn them back on. When I take the truck out of reverse I can turn it on but I have to press the button a few times...Errrr I checked the fuses, not the problem...again...Errrr
Now, my truck is a Crew cab long box so the sensors are a much desired and fairly needed item...please help.<o></o>
I am starting to believe that the manufactures can program the computer to shut down certain items when the miles hit a certain point, or the hours of operation get so high...just a conspiracy theory....<o></o>
I doubt the OEM would put something like that in the program. My wifes 03 explorer had the exact same issue and it had 27,000 miles on it. I would imagine a module went bad. I honestly don't know how the issue was resolved. I traded the truck in before I could have it repaired.
Usually when this happens it is a bad sensor. Either you have to get it tested to find the bad one, or buy a new sensor and try it one a time until the bad one is located.
