All this mirror talk lately has made me wonder about mine. They are actually four-point mount. They look like other three-points I have seen, but have an additional brace running from the top tube back to the top of the door frame.
The mirrors themselves have FOMOCO stamped into the back, so I'm assuming this is some sort of factory setup. For better or worse, they're rock solid.
Well, I don't have a computer camera, but I can describe them pretty well. The two 'dumbo ears' attach vertically from the top door frame straight down to under the window. From the vertical top portion of each ear a diagonal tube goes back to the top of the doorframe. Towards the bottom of each ear, another diagonal goes down and forward to the door. Each ear has a vertical rectangular mirror on the outside part of the ear, and a lower round convex mirror. I think the bottom mirrors are aftermarket, but the whole setup looks pretty cool.
Mldsibio is right--these things make your truck a wide load.

Mine too. I have the reversable type mirrors. You can make them "hug"the truck or switch 'em ang get an wide angle for towing. Follow me? They're 3 point mount.
