Hey! I was drilling out a header stud, and went to deep and got into the water jacket. I was gonna pematex the threads to seal it, but didnt know if this was strong enough to hold the pressure. Any ideas? Should i use threadlock instead? THanks for your help.
Wrong forum or not.
My recommendation would be to use teflon pipe thread sealer. Not teflon tape...although that might work. But teflon pipe sealer works great for that purpose. I've had the same problem, and teflon sealer has work fine. I wouldn't recommend an RTV sealer, because a lot of those type of sealers of for oil only, and not sealing coolant/water.
Good luck
Little help please, i wanna put it together tommorow!

A friend of mine did that exact thing on his RV with a 460 in it. He found a good weldor and they put a stud in and welded around it with a mig welder. Then they ground it flat-end of problem. They will tell you you cant weld cast iron but you can if the guy's good.
