I am assuming we are talking about a fibreglass hardtop. Take it off, set it in the garage on a couple of 2x4's. If there is anything that protrudes from the bottom of it when the top is removed, take care not to crush it. (Bronco hard tops have two sections of foam rubber gasket at the rear corners that will crush over time if the top gets left to sit on them for weeks, months, etc). Otherwise, it'll be fine.
If you are feeling really ambitious, you can hang it from the ceiling beams of the garage. That way it won't take up space on the floor. The Bronco folks like to set things up in the garage so they can just back under or drive out from under their tops in the garage.
