V10 IM 240 emissions test

Got the notice yesterday that my 02 v10 F350 std cab 4x4 was due for its first im 240 emissions test. Took it in, and they tested the gas cap for pressure, and then they verified the MIL functioned correctly. Guy told me that Illinois laws has the GVW was so high on my truck that it didnt matter what the test read, that the truck was going to pass as long as the MIL lamp stays off, which wasnt a problem anyways. I read the result after I left, and saw the truck was on a scale and weighs 6131 lbs with me in it and a half tank of gas. Almost every column for test results said N/A except for the MIL which said it was functioning correctly. I was suprised it was so simple. Bill

In Pennsylvania for the emissions test,all they do is a gas cap test,period.And if you have under 5,000 miles from your last sticker,you are exempt from the test all together.
