'Hold' on 2003 Super-Duty production
Has anyone heard anything about a 'hold' on 2003 Super-Duty production?
I have one on order (see below) and the sales person is telling me that there is a 'hold' on production. Can't tell me why; can't tell me for how long.
Anybody know anything about this?

MN: Be interesting to hear when you get your build date and/or take delivery. My '03 F350 XLT SD Supercab dually V10/Auto/3.73 long box was ordered on June 6th and I took delivery October 26th. Don't mean to take the wind from your sails, but we're at their mercy. The ride, however, is well worth the wait!

I'm not aware of any "holds" at this time on production items. The problem is supply and demand vs. allocation. If your dealer has been allocated only a few trucks, then it's going to take a lot longer to get one from him than a larger dealer with more allocation. The salesman's not going to tell you this, because he's afraid you'll then go looking for a dealer that can get it quicker (or at least will TELL you he can get it quicker). If you're happy with the dealer you ordered it from, all you can do is hang in there and wait.
