Cecil, the reason you can't find headers for a 72-460 is Ford didn't offer that combo in 72.

Cecil, if a 460 was not offered in 72, no one will offer headers for 72 F series with a 460. Since the front ends are the same through 79, you might look at a later year model for your 460. :-)

I see the HOO-6824 ($419) is for the 67-77 4X4 w/ 460 and HOO-6811 (Super Comp $359) for the 73-79.
I would think the 4X4 header would work. The 6824 is listed for pre 73, so I would think those would fit. I don't know the exact difference between the 73 and pre-73 but I would think they would work. Hooker should have a tech-support line, I think Holley bought them a while back.

L&Lproducts.com they have what ya need dont waste time with the others. this place makes nothing but odd ford truck conversion kits. good luck. i have bought all my stuff fer my 460 into my 78 4x4. they cost more but you get what ya pay for. they have the best stuff. https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/User_files/3a98299615e4afbe.gif

Definitely L&L. I went to the L&L shop and picked mine up last week.Dont waste your money on anything else. These headers are SWEET!!! 1/2" flanges and tuned to boot. They really are hard core headers. Well worth the money.
