Just in case someone is looking for a similar solution, I'm entering this so it can be found in the archives.
An NP204 or NP205 has a speedo hole into which you can plug a speed sensor from a late 80's T-Bird. That sensor will drive an electronic speedometer. If you steal one from a junkyard make sure you take the connector from the wiring harness as well.
I think this sensor will also go right into a C6 as well, but if you have a transfer case the speed from the C6 won't be correct in low gear.

I was trying to think of ways to have a speedo pickup in my truck when I go to the electronic speedometer, much better than putting on a magnet setup or making a tone ring.
