Without disparaging PB, WD-40 IS a penetrating oil. I've used WD on everything from nuts and bolts around the house, to truck parts, to parts on F-4 fighter jets. I'm in no position to compare the penetrating, cleaning, or lubricating properties, or the flash points for that matter, of the two products, but I do know from over 25 years experience that WD-40 works quite well for its stated and intended purposes, which is a penetrating, cleaning, and lubricating petroleum product. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

That may be true, but what I'm saying is that 9 times out of 10, PB has worked much better for me as a penitrating oil.

It's not a lube, but it's a better penitrating oil then wd can ever be.

WD-40's a water displacing agent, that happens to work as a lube, light pentrating oil, and cleaner (pb's good, but it has a smell)

PB is more specified, WD works OK on more stuff

the motor as a whole has smoothed out since installing the new exhaust. it seems to pull a little higher than it used to, and i have no problems spinning 35" tires in 1st. for me, yes it was worth it because my old exhaust was kinda sacked. my seat of my pants dyno feels like there is a little more grunt down low + the added smoothness...but i wouldn't consider it a huge jump in the power department.
