Hey Dan,
Are your EGT's dropping faster when stopped with the AIS compared to the 6637? I've been thinking about going with the AIS to shorten cool down time. Temps go down fairly slow with the 6637 and hot summer weather. Thanks.
Once I switched from the 6637 to the AIS my cool down time is a lot faster.
I haven't really had a chance to work the truck hard to be able to answer, but I am sure that I could come up with the same results as Rich in CO.
And I live in Seattle where the weather is very mild. If it gets up over 80 degress we all start wilting because nobody is used to the heat.
Just curious as to whether this is available directly from Ford?
From the Diesel Power website:
"Ford and Motorcraft engineers have designed an AIS severe Duty kit using PowerCore technology to be compatible to F-250-F550 Super Duty trucks and Excursions built after Jan. 1, 1998."

But of course. For a steeper price than aftermaket. Ask for FA1759 for the kid and FA1757 for just the filter replacement.
