Exmark copied the original it was called Velki, I had the Velki worked good but left a tire mark in the grass and a J turn mark at the end of your stripe. I ran the Velki on my 48" Ransomes for three years after awhile it will hurt your knees badly from all the twisting and jaring that the bumpy lawns will give you, that could be an age thing I am 45 and have been running a full service Lawn and Landscape biz for 15 years....... Have you been to www.lawnsite.com? Lots of good info over there.....

I have been a member of lawnsite.com for a while under the same nick as here. I am not active posting member. I found that most of the stuff I need info for was already asked so it makes my needs quickly met. It's a great site!!!
Hey Jack is the extra line the stand ons make (for lack of a better term) annoying? Did anyone ever complain about it? I work in a ritzy neighborhood and a lot of people have nothing better to do than critique down to the very last piece of grass.

That's a great site too, thanks.
Nope no complaints about the extra line from my customers. I havent used a standon since 99 I run a ZTR and the the cut differance and speed off a cut makes it that much easier to pay attention to the nitty gritty while working in the ritzy neighborhoods.....If I went back to the standon I think the customers would get cranky big time quick...
Yep www.lawnsite.com is a great site, I am over there as Jackman with one a
I'm over at www.lawnsite.com too as Birdhunter1. Man it's a small world, three of us over there, next thing you know we'll find out we're related or something!
The extra line in the grass from the stand on and the J turn marks that the standon leaves at the end of the stripe.. The ZTR leaves a nice crisp stripe, once your customers are spoiled with that it can't be easy to go back to the standon.
Only the smart lawnsite guys are here , the miss guided lawnsite guy's are over at the Bowtie and Mopar forms wondering were it all went wrong ....

I'm also on lawnsite as cuda444. I don't post, or frequent it much for that matter lately. As the season picks up, I'll head over there.
Patatoe, how big are these 45-50 lawns? Assuming there all not under an acre or so, 36" is a pretty tiny mower deck for that many lawns, IMHO. We've got some big (6+ hours to cut), some small (10 minutes to cut), and 2 toro z-masters, one 62" deck and one 52" deck. The 52 fits everywhere. Just curious is all, not trying to come off as an a**
