ProComp Distributor, Coil and Wires?

I purchased a ProComp distributor and an external ProComp ignition coil for my 302 rebuild project going into a 1977 F150. I would like some advise about what brand/type of wires to run with this setup. One issue I can see is that the external coil will either have to be mounted on the firewall or inner fender and this will require a long spark plug wire to connect the coil to the distributor. I had purchased a stock set of wires from Napa for this project, but the coil wire is way to short and has the wrong type of end on it for my aftermarket coil. I think a long 24" plug wire will do the trick, but I have never hooked up one of these external coils before with such a long wire. I think the firewall location is the way to go for a cleaner wire routing scheme. Anyone done this sort of thing before and would like to share what wires they used and how they routed them? Pictures would be nice if you have some. Thanks.

Jim
