I tried the in-channel ones on my '99 and I had to send them back. They got in the way of the front driver window's normal path and the window even chipped it once going up. I followed all the directions and even let them set for 24 hours, but they were a big problem for me. I went with the Ventshades that go on the outside and love them. Don't have to worry about them getting in the way and I don't mind the "outside" look. All I can say is try them and see. The place I got mine from took care of me and allowed me to exchange them with no problem. Some people like them and some don't. I just know what was best for me. Give it a shot, but I would "recommend" not. Just my opinion. Good luck, and let us know what you choose and how it works out.
I've had the in-channel ones for about 8 months on my 99 EB. They DO attach with tape in the channel, and getting the front sides inteh right place can be tricky. I did take a small chip out of the drivers front, but only because I had it still in the channel, not behind the mirror plate.
But I do love them. Especially down here in Florida, I can still have the windows cracked in the rain or leave them open to vent in the searing heat.
