I believe if mankind has killed and destroyed off trees, micro organism, different rodents and large animals, insects, and bugs, and even other human beings. Man kind isn't as bright as one thinks they are. If they were, everyone would agree in saving the bigger organism "EARTH and ATMOSPHERE" and every living creature.

Sure the weather and the enviroment is based on jet streams, temperatures, humity, barometric pressure and etc.. and there fore hard to predict, even with computer weather animated models, these weather people can predict with much accuracy.

But what mankind does to this Bigger organism and all the micro and macro organism and creatures, there is an effect. Just like all the fires and volcanos and earthquakes, there is an effect. With the accumalation of scientific data gathered daily over the past century since the inventions of scientific tools (calculator, computer, paper, pens and etc..) and all the education and knowledge they have used to process this data is just enough to gain a very basic understanding of this complicated planet.

Many humans are programmed to be wasteful in the basic thinking of conserving and not polluting. The old saying "cause and effect" just registers momentarly. Call it industrailization and modernation and overpopulation.

If only humans would remember that what us humans do, does have an effect on Earth for a time period. Earth will alway exist with Asteriods bombardments, pollutions, but we probably won't, because the path we are taking.

"peace"

Somewhere I heard that acid rain hits about a 1/3 of China.

Don't know if that's true, but that's what I heard.

Did anyone see 20/20 last night? Those blokes had the ***** to go on the TV and say that they were 100% positive and there was proof that Man is the cause of global climate change.

Pretty much all of the world's problems are, or will, be caused by overpopulation. I don't see any (political persuasion removed so this thread doesn't get shut down) suggesting that people refrain from having so many children. People in some countries are starving to death, but, by golly, they keep having kids!

After reading previous posts to refresh my memory abouth this thread, I noticed that most of the people who responded seemed to leave out the fact that man is part of the environment. People are not some alien invaders that came to destroy the planet, we are just another part of it. We're not causing any fluctuations in climate by driving cars or anything else. "Scientists" can no more predict the future climate of the planet any more than I can predict who will win the Superbowl in 2020. Their so called "predictions" are nothing more than the computer generated model that best suits their preconcieved ideas. They just simply throw out the models that show a cooling trend. The whole thing is a politicized load of garbage used to scare people who have nothing but the best of intentions into coughing up their hard earned money to "save the planet".

You want a weather prediction? Partly cloudy with a chance of rain.
