If you just got a coil spring spacer for the front end, you'll need a spring compression tool. Loosen and compress the springs, insert spacer, slowly loosen tension on the springs until they fit snugly against the spacer, tighten everything down
I think with 1.5" you'll be alright with your stock shocks, but it may feel a bit flimsy on small bumps.

so i dont have to take everything completely apart like the directions say... i just compress the spring and install it ( with the truck on a jack stand of course). to loosen the springs will i need to take it all apart?
