You guys using the AutoEnginuety software with the enhanced Ford interface? Is the software pretty limited working on the 7.3 without the enhanced Ford interface?
There Web site shows 4.2 as latest version. As they come out with future updates I wonder how they will be priced.
It would just be a very expensive code reader without the Enhanced Ford feature. If you are planning on keeping your truck and like to do your own troubleshooting, it is the ticket! The other good thing is that there are getting to be quite a few folks on here with it, so we can compare notes on what is normal and what is not. I ran base lines on my truck when everything is great so that when something seems amiss, I can pinpoint exactly what has changed. I am learning lots by hooking onto friends vehicles to help them out. The enhanced Ford works on all 96+ Fords and believe me, my family and friends have alot of them for me to practice on. On my truck, my HPOP is very weak. A stock pump with my injectors should be able to maintain 2500+ PSI at WOT. Mine only holds 1600. Without the AE software and no chiped trucks local to compare to, I would be as happy as a pig in slop and not even know that there is a problem. The truck runs strong, but I am sure not as strong as it should (I am changing my HPOP this weekend, so I will soon find out). I also sent data to Jody before he burned my chip and additional data afterward with his tunes running. He really seemed to appreciate the information. In the past, his customers could not give him real data, just feelings and thoughts.
I highly recommend this tool. Jay at AE is great to work with and provides superior service as do our sponsers.
Does the 6.0 cooler bolt right in? Are there any links out there with install instructions? I just purchased a 22' TT and don't like the trans temps with the stock cooler. Thanks in advance.
It's supposed to bolt right in. I figure i'm going to have to remove my AC condenser to get to the connections. That means evacuating the refrigerant
and recharging...another $100 according to my local shop. I don't see any way around it. The cooler takes nice big 1/2" lines. I already bought the adapters at Home Depot.

Yeah, lots and lots of info available about your truck. I was going to head out to Asheville for some live tuning with Jody, but he can use the data from the AE software to tune the truck, it might acually be cheaper for me to buy the AE setup than pay for gas out there and back, plus hotel room, plus a cool new toy that I can use!! Damn, I think I just talked myself into it. Now, if I can just find that dang credit card....

Hey WestPSD, what kind of pump are you going with?
I bought a Delphi pump, 17* stock rebuild. As near as I have been able to figure out, the pumps supplied by Ford are remans from Fred Jones and are just resealed units. They reuse most of the internals. Delphi claims to only reuse the housing and put all new internals in it. The big difference is tolerances. With a piston pump, the clearance between the pistons and bore is what make the difference in output, either good or bad. I guess I will see if I made the right choice or not. I just couldn't justify the $2K for the twins.

It would be great if you posted your results of the Delphi pump. My stock HPOP can't keep up, and my times last weekend at Bandimere showed it. I've heard of just a handful of folks going with the Delphi, but have yet to hear any feedback on how well it worked. I'm in the boat where if I can get my HPOP to keep up with what I have now, then I'll be perfectly happy. I can't justify $2K on the Stealth, Terminator, etc when I'm not going any further with mods. Doesn't the Delphi pump run somewhere around $500?
