Question for you guys running Hypertech...
Was looking at getting a chip from Jody, but I have come across a good deal on a 41040 Hypertech programmer. My question- is the shift firmness programmable, or is it part of the standard program that is uploaded? Reason I ask is I already have the Sonnax kit in the tranny, and like the way it shifts now, don't want it any firmer. Also, are you generally happy overall with it? Thanks in advance.

I used a Hypertech III for a couple of years and overall was happy with it. You can see in my signature where I am now and can't stop grinin, but that wasn't your question. The choices you have with the Hypertech is either standard shifting (exactly what you have today) or tell it you have STOCK transmission and it will automaticly raise your line pressure which will make for firmer shifts. If you like your current shifts, then tell it when it asks that you have added aftermarket shift kit.

IMO, I would buy the chip from Jody, I run the Hypertech programmer and have had more than my share of problems, So i will be buying from Jody once i get threw with all the graduations party this year, 9 in all.$$$$$$$$
