I saw one recently. It was in the truck I got my new gauge cluster assembly from. I was thinking about going back and getting it, guess I probably should. This truck was a 72 ranger with 32,000 miles. The interior was in great shape, the gauge panel looked like brand new (still does, just in my old beater now)
The first one I saw was in the 70 ford pickup
in januarys Classic Truck mag. WoW 428 Cobra jet
with NOS ! At least he got a whole page
Do you think he reads this forum ?
Ok, I guess it's just to hide the blower motor etc, to make it look more gooder...Wasn't sure...Sounded like something to keep the heater wind from blowing the old ladies skirt up or sumthin... MK
I went back to get that piece today, the truck wasn't there anymore. However, they had a new wreck there that also had the piece. This one has a crack in it, so I am going to try and "remodel" it. I am off to hobby lobby now.
Don’t you hate it when that happens? Reminds me of the time I spotted a 390 w/ C4 heads and cast iron headers sitting in a junkyard truck. The hood was off along with the intake manifold but someone had stuck a transmission on top of everything. It was getting late so the next morning I arrived bright and early only to find the engine bay empty.
