tranny ????

Im installing a 2003 6.0 powerstroke into my 1993 f350. The engine I bought came with an automatic tranny and tranfer case. I want to change over to a manual and sell the auto. My question is..... Will the 7.3 trans bolt up to the 6.0 or did the bellhousing change....

I might be selling the 4R100 if I can find a manual. It only has 21000 miles on it. The stall converter I was told was bought out of Oregon from some specialist and cost $800 bucks.... Im beginning to this this diesel swap might be a challenge. But then again I did put a 454 into a vegga....

Alright I'm confused here. You bought a complete 6.0 with tranny....where did the 4r come from? Putting a 454 in a Vega is a walk in the park compared to what your wanting to do.....did you get everything electrical? You need the processor off the drivers side fender of the donor vehicle, if not, your in deep water already.

I got everything. But that was what I was told.... When it all gets here it may be a different story. I was told the auto tranny was a 4R100. If you know something to be different, ple3ase do share . I noticed you have a 2003 6.0.... thanks

2003 was the split year, you might find a 7.3 or 6.0 in a 2003. The Torque Shift for the 6.0 is a 5R110 the 7.3 uses a 4R100......

HAHAHA!! A windshield wiper on a billy goats a$$!!!!! I have heard a lot of euphemisms over the years, but never that one!! Hey Max I wouldn't mind a spare 5r110, if that is what it is.... I had a guy drive down in February from Washington to buy a Big Block Chevrolet from me, I guess I could always take a scenic drive, unless you do a west coast vacation and beat me to it!!

everybody have a great day!

Tim

If you could come up with a flywheel and a manual tranny we could talk swap. I would rather have the manual. It is a 6.0 liter with 5r110 tranny. I was wrong on the milage....its 19000 on it. The computer on the firewall and engine harness is there too. Im working on motor mounts right now.

Last time I tried an automatic to manual swap I ran into a problem with the Automatic equiped motor having a crankshaft not bored for the pilot bearing. This was a long time ago and a gas motor. Well, just my thoughts on the project, good luck!
