high idle (extreme)

1994 ford taurus, was driving and car was running fine. When i had stopped and cranked engine it idled so high it would run about 35mph without giving it gas,any idea what the problem is?

answer

check your throttle positon sensor, speed sensor, and mass air flow sensor. you could also clean out the intake and make sure the throttle isnt sticking.
