I did it! was changing my plugs when I broke the spark plug off while it was still in the cylinder. The nut came off w/ the top part of the porcelan. How can I get it out?
What you're saying is the 5/8" head part came out and left the threaded part in the hole? If so,you might have to drill it and use an easy out to remove it.Good luck and keep us posted!
I often use compressed air to blow debis from the holes before I pull the plugs. Depending on the size of the broken part you may need a pair of long reach needle nose pliers which have saved me when I need to remove debis or the boot separates at the bottom of the hole.
Problem is do they have an easy-out long enough to go down the plug hole on these modulars. You may have to pull the head off which is a little time consuming but do-able with the help of a haynes or chilton manual.
or get an easy-out and a socket it will fit in tack weld it to the socket. your will have to pull the head anyway. if it dosen't work flip it over and dump the easy-out out if it break off the socket. might be a chance to keep the head on the truck.
