Yes... as will ANY regular oil.
READ your owners manual[I][U], it recommends 5000 or more miles between oil changes under normal usage. The ONLY people that want you to change your oil every 3000 or less miles are the oil companies. They want to sell you more oil changes.
The cheapest oil on the shelf at Wal-Mart is rated for your gas engine & meets ALL the manufacturers requirements. All the rest is mostly marketing.....

My Honda required them every 8000 miles, I pushed that to 10k without issues. My older F150 I did every 3k but that's because I was clearly in the "extreme duty" catagory in the manual. With a normal synthetic you can easily do 5k, if not more.

The oil we are talking about is Mobil Clean 5000, which is not a synthetic.
I used Mobil Clean 5000 in my '99 F-150 and it works just fine.
If you look in your owner's manual, I think it will tell you to change your oil every 5000 miles. I dont, I change mine every 3000 miles but thats me. My truck sees pretty severe us: a considerable amount of driving on dirt roads, heavy hauling and use in both cold winters and hot summers; so I just play it safe and change it every 3000. I probably dont have to, but I like the peace of mind that changing it every 3000 miles gives me.
I see aboslutely no reason why you would damage your engine if you changed the oil every 5000 miles.
Ive used Mobil oil in all my gas engines for years and have never had a problem.

i have use regualr Havoline dyno oil since 1970 in a dozen differenct cars and truck. always changed at 5000 miles. last 89 F250 i sold with 245,000 miles, still going strong on original motr. my "new" F150 SC has 145,000 and runs like a top. uns dwon gravel roads, off roads, haul lumber, car trailer, etc, etc. Nice truck. 5000 miles is a good round number for chages.
