1971 steering column

I have a 1971 f-100 4x4 with a stick tranny.I took it apart 5 yrs ago.Now I am putting it back together.I need to know what holds the collar on the steering column? If anyone has info or diagrams of this steering column I would be greatly appreciative. This is the onlt thing holding me up from driving it.....I hope.Thanks.

are you talking about the collar the turn switch is mounted in? If so this is bolted on using 2 1/4 or 5/16 bolts that sit in the 2 slots on each side of column threaded end up. You have to hold them there and place collar down on them while aligning bolt holes, then place the nuts on and tighten.
Been awhile, hope this helps.
