Do all 8mm plug wires function the same?
I know that the resistance is the key part. Less ohms per foot is desired, but are some manufactured 8mm plugs a lot higher resistance than others? Ive heard that 500 ohms is good enough for performance. With the 40,000 volt electronic setup will these work o.k.?

Please elaborate.
what is considered a solid coil wire? Are there wires that are just a copper strand with a silicon jacket?
What about wires like Accel, with a stainless steel winding wrapped around a carbon/glass inner core? Are those OK to use with all ignitions?
My main concern is getting a set of wires that is compatible with a Pertronix II setup with a flamethrower II coil.

I've got the pertronix setup with the flamethrower coil(ver. 1) and I'm using the standard plug wires computer listed for my truck from "pepboys". Everything works great.
