Checked the resistance of the injector harnesses at the 42 pin connector and have high resistance on 6 of the 8 injectors. #4 and #5 read 3.1-3.2 ohms, #2, #6, and #8 read 8.5-8.6 ohms and #1, #3, and #7 read 20.5-20.9 ohms. I plan on pulling the valve covers and checking resistance at the injectors to eliminate a possible bad coil before replacing VC gaskets, UVCH's, and glow plugs.


What type of symptoms will this cause? Loss of power, rough idle, poor fuel economy?

I'm kind of surprised you don't have an MIL lit up and a P1316 DTC stored along with a bunch of high to low side open codes in the IDM.

 

Both UVCHs shot. Some will say 50-cent mod, I preach new. Dorman makes a VC gasket with integrated UVCH, no undercover connectors to fail - unless the solenoid connectors have issues down the road.

 

That's what I was thinking. If the valve covers are coming off, new gaskets, UVCH's, and glow plugs are going in.
