I have a 99 SD crew cab and I just had my Gem module & fuse box assembly replaced due to corrosion. After I got it back from the dealer I was driving down the road at about 75 mph and a warning chime came on. It chimed about once a second & didn't stop until I slowed down below 74 mph or so. There are no warning lights on the dash. It does this whenever I get up to 75 mph & stops when the speed drops below 75 mph. Does anyone have any ideas what's causing this?
Thanks for the help.
Never heard of this! Interesting maybe they know you drive too fast and need a warning to slow down!!!!!!!!
I would ask at the dealer or shop that changed the parts out .

Check if all the dash lights work, especially the ABS light and the "OD off" light on the shifter (if it's an automatic).
When you first turn on the key, all lights in the dash should light, make sure they do, especially the ABS, MIL(CES), and airbag. Not sure about the OD light, but once the engine is running, hit the OD-off button and see if the light comes on.
Either that, or you got a Canadian GEM module or Mexican or somewhere that chimes over 75 MPH
