I have an f250 and I plan on replacing the rear blocks with the 4in blocks from a f350. Would this work? I would have an extra 3 in the front and 2 in the rear.
The F350 blocks only measure 3.5". That might or might not change your plans.
I was thinking about that as well, mainly on the pinion angle for the front drive shaft. If you drop the front it makes it less of an angle. but using these longer shackles would make it worse. Would it affect anything, I don't know but I am still waiting on a response from the seller.
Turbo I was wanting to level it out. There is a 2 inch difference from frount to back
Ahh i think your best bet would be a DR 2 inch mini pack, simple to install, and the pack goes beneath your stock springs so you don't have to get new shocks or anything. And at 2 inches you can probably still get your track bar back in.
Just an opinion here, but I tried this once on my CJ-7.
The increase in height created a wierd rotation to the front axel that made the steering respond funny.
I believe it's called the caster angle - which changed and made it steer oddly.
By pushing the truck upward by lengthing the front shackel, the axel is actually rotated.
Just an observation from a past experience.
A Jeep needs a shackle reversal for it to work properly. On the superduty the shackle is already on the rear of the front spring so there should be very little, if any change in the ride or steering geometry.
Idaho City? Is that in southern idaho? Wheeler's Off Road in oregon sells them for 185, and shipping should be fairly cheap since you live close. If you do decide to buy em make sure you look at your front U bolts, so you can specify to them whether you have round or square front U bolts. Check them out wheelersoffroad(dot)com
I bought 3" hangers from them for my truck, they were pretty helpful on the phone too. I have 350 blocks in the rear and it took 3.5 inches total to level my truck, my front springs must be sagging a little.
No problem man. I've taken my front suspension apart and changed it 3 times in the last month........so if you have any questions, hit me up, i am pretty refreshed with it at this point.
You might also try some spacers that go under the springs....i bought a set for $100 at 4wheelparts.com they level it out by 2 inches in the front and cheap!
