Question Starting Concerns

My new truck doent seem to start right up. I feel that it is cranking a little more than it should. It has a new set of gps and gp relay. What could cause this?
Also, it has a slightly rough idle what can i do for that?
Thanks, Jeremy

how old is the oil in it? could be building oil pressure to fire the injectors a little slow.

Which oil are we talking about here? Motor oil or fuel oil (aka diesel)

I can see why old nasty diesel would give a hard start condition, but why would old motor oil do that?

My truck also does the hard start thing along with a low idle rpm of about 550 rpm's.

Because the injectors in our trucks are pressurized by engine oil via the HPOP.... thus old/crapy oil= poor injector recovery time, especially during starting

The engine oil only has about 20 miles on it but i believe its a quart low does that make a difference im gunna put a quart in it later. New 1000amp batteries. It looks to be a recently newer napa reman starter. It spins fast.
