I know this was posted before that the door handles looked the same, But I am here to tell you they will interchange. I picked up a pair( part #F81Z-2522600-BA, right and F81Z-2522601-BA, left) the other day and they are a perfect match. And at $20 for the pair, not a bad price, and the fact you can pick them up at your local dealer, no shipping cost. The original chrome ones are nice, but tend to rattle going down the road as my 32 year old ones do. The new ones are black molded plastic, don't rattle, and go great with a black interior.
I wish they would start copying more of the old stuff!
I don't know if your talking about the 70' f250 full size LMC Truck part #'s 49-7622, 23 that go for $30 plus shipping; if so you rule!! because I was minutes from ordering them.
Also, how are the contact parts on the handles that engage the locks? My metal contact rod on the driver side handle is worn away to a stump and I have to currently open the door from the outside; so if the metal wore away, is the plastic any stronger?
Yes they are on page 23 of the newest catalog, item 15( pn 49-7622 and 49-7623, and according to LMC they will fit 1968 to 1972. They were for a 2002 F250/350 from the dealer. It looks like some kind of polycarbonite injection molded plastic, and so far at work we haven't had any break(and were hard on trucks). My next venture is to order the inside latch that goes behind the door handle to see if it will interchange also. You know, I'll bet you could paint these to match any interior color scheme, Hmmmm.
i was the one to post this originally after seeing the handles
at the 2002 auto show in Philly,pa I have a picture of these
new handles but have no idea how to post it here???
Can someone help me with picture posting?
