Help unknown power chip
I recently bought a 2001 X. I did not know that it was chipped but I noticed a greenish colored chip on the back of the ECU under the steering wheel. It has no markings so I was wondering if anyone might have a clue who makes this chip. There is a big difference driving the X with or without the chip. Thanks again.

It is...the ECU is behind the kickpanel behind the E-brake assembly. The steering wheel is above it in a general sense of the statement.
As far as your chip goes....I have no idea. If it doesnt say who made it originally I would only be guessing. Guys that tune these things can take a chip from someone (for example: Banks) and rewrite the programming on it. I dont know if maybe they remove any markings on them or not. So, with that said it could be anything. Sorry for the generalization.
