Put a new set of shoes and drums on the front. The old drums must have been the originals. They sure were thin. In fact, passenger side drum was starting to come apart on the edges. Caught it just in time. Going after the rears as soon as I get the coin.

Well, spent the bucks and had the kingpins replaced and front end 'ligned' up. Drives straight as an arrow! Thanks tekrsq for the heads up for Johnson&Bartlett. They do good work.

Up next is getting new cab mounts, ( from D.C. complete with destructions ) and new steering coupling. Anyone know of any special tools required for the mounts and/or coupling? ( pardon my spelling ) Any special tricks they can pass along? I'll probably be a one man gang on this one........

Thumbs up New Project

Check my gallery. Went to the pick and pull today and, with Blakes help, found a new pair of seats for my truck. Came out of an 1986 XLT extended cab. I think that they will mount up fine. Will remove bench next weekend, weather permitting. and see about putting them in pronto. ( including the matching center console ) Now I have to get new shoulder harness belts. No more lap belts for me. Any suggestions on where to get belts? ( as in what year will work in a 1970 ) I wasn't sure if the belts form said truck would work so I didn't ****** them. All answers welcome......thanks

My current projects going on are "1" trying to get my Lightning back on the road and "2" do a few odds and ends to my 4x4. I think I tore a piston up in my Lightning running a bad tune but I won't know unitl I get the head off. I'm also wanting to put a decent stereo, tint the windows, and put a good exhaust on my '89 4x4.

to many oft,

let me know if you come across a decent little ranger pickup that you are going to scrap. I want the body for an F-250 highboy "project" I've been staring at....
