I have a 03 f250 4x4 srw w/37k miles on it. I believe my year has front abs only not rear but does have 4 whl disk. When stopping I can feel the pedal slowly pulsing and it's close to the floor. I have towed but months ago, I may have overheated the rotors but why show up now? I pulled the tire off to check my pads thinking they were done but they had plenty of meat on them. So I dropped it off at the dealer and waiting too hear back. I asked that they dial in the rotor's to be sure.
Any idea's besides the warp issue I've read about? Also should I stay away from the factory rotor's and look into the slotted one's I've been reading about here on the forums? I had to replace rotors on my 99 f250 = center hub removal, but from what I've read that isn't necessary with the 03 f250.
More than likely at that milage your caliper slide pins have seized up. They just need to be re-lubed again. At low milage and without much towing, that is the most common problem with these brakes, and the symptoms are much like warped rotors.
Just to note: You probably have 4 wheel ABS. In any case I have never heard of ABS on the front and not the rear. Some of the older trucks had it on the rear and not on the front. That was to prevent the rear end from coming around during a panic stop. All of the trucks that I see now have 4 wheel disks and 4 wheel ABS.
Well dealership is telling me I need to resurface all the rotors = $360.00
And that may not solve the problem, I may need new pads. I have a
set of new pads for the front so I'll change them myself. I'll send
another update after the resurfacing test drive.

Wait a sec! $360 just to resurface, AND they're telling you that might not solve the problem? Warning bells are going off big time.
Seriously, if the rotors are causing the pulsing brakes, then they are warped and resurfacing them will not fix the problem. Plus I doubt that they are really in bad shape since you said you haven't towed much, and you have low mileage anyway. The brake pads on these trucks are pretty thick. I had to replace mine at 80K, and that's on the low end. Some have gone 100K+ on the original pads. I honestly think this dealership is taking you for a run.
I tow some , but not a lot. My front pads lasted 54,000. NAPA turned both front rotors for $30.00. New front pads. Nice smooth brakes since. Just turned 90,000. Rear brakes still OK, but I will replace rear pads soon. Note: I always use a generous amount of disk brake caliper grease on the caliper pins. No worries.
Just got the truck back from the dealer. After the resurfacing & scuffing of brake pads there is no longer the pulsing sensation. Also they replaced upper ball joints but that was covered under warranty. I have a new set of pads but I won't change them out anytime soon. The pads are at least 3/4 full so they should be good for awhile. Must have had some heat spots/warping on the rotors. I will replace the rotors next time it happens with the slotted one's everyone has been talking about...
Just replaced the front rotors ($129 ea.) and pads ($78 set) with the best NAPA had. I had a very serious pulsing problem in the front with 40k miles. It now stops smooth and straight. This was the first time I had ever gotten into fixing brakes. But with the step by step help found elsewhere on the board, it was a snap. Cheers
