brake rotor noise
I don't know if anyone else has had this same problem. I have had the front rotors on my '02 Ranger (20K miles) machined by Ford twice. They develop a noise and pulsing that I've never had before. Sometimes is right after I rotate the tires, other times its random. The odd part is that I do so much highway driving that the brakes don't get much use. Plus, I only have 20K miles on the truck. Is this something that is normal or are they doing something wrong? I'm considering having Ford replace the pads and rotors under warranty since obviously whatever they are doing is not working. Any ideas?

The bottom line is Ford uses crappy rotors and they frequently warp, so I'd guess you could call it "normal". 
If they're out of round again, I'd have the dealer replace them, but keep in mind that eventually you're going to want to get aftermarket rotors.

If they are using an impact gun to tighten the lug nuts when they rotate your tires, that could be the problem. They should be using a torque wrench. If they don't know what they are doing with an impact wrench, that will screw up a set of rotors/brakes quickly. That could account for the pulsation you're feeling. As far as the noise goes, Ford uses cheap pads. If you've had the work done at a Ford dealer, I'd make them replace the rotors and pads. Go for the "premium" pads, even if you have to pay a little more for them.
