power steering

Well my 72' 4x4 f-100 has power steering but someone has added it and the gear box is mounted outside the frame and the inner wheel well has to be cut out. Can I put some other power steering box that I don't have to cut the inner fender? And I was looking at a 74' 4x4 and it looked like same frame? Can I put the power steering components in my 72' from a 73'-79' truck? Just wondering what other people have done for power steering on there 67-72 trucks. If someone has some info please let me know, thanks.

I converted my 71 using everything from a 79 F250. Of course the steering column itself is up to 72 only. (Since the pump, and hopefully the right column, are already there, you're halfway done.) But the steering box, linkage, and even the power disc brakes were a direct bolt in.
