72 Power Steering ?

72 Power Steering ?
My 72 does not have power steering at the moment and for some reason the manual steering seems to be getting worse. I would like to put in power steering just wondering what I need the truck is 4x4 with a 360 manual trans floor shift don't want to change column.?

Not much man, It's been getting harder to get answers on this site as time goes bye
hopefully I'll get something for the power steering or I'll have to go junkyard hunting or talk to some other ford friends around

My '72 4X4 now has power steering. bought the kit from the guy in Iowa, but ended up replacing a couple of the junkyard parts he sent me. A little cutting, a little welding, drilling a couple of new holes, and away i go. Sure is nice to roll those 33's around at a dead stop.

Oldman, I hate you have had trouble getting answers. I'm fairly good with 2wd, but come up short with the 4X4.

I think there are some issues with the early 4X4 systems though.

My Brother-in-law has a 75 F-100 4x4 with the power steering and tha 360 FE engine. It is a power asist. system, with a ram on the front of the tie rod. It does work good, but if it were to be bent while out 4 wheeling you would be in a would of hurt.
