D44/D60 carrier shims

D44/D60 carrier shims
I forgot which side each stack went on with these, so...
D44: one side's got a lot more than the other
D60: one side's got a few, the other has none
Which side usually has a thicker shimstack, ring or non-ring side of the carrier?
I'm using the same gears just replacing bearings and seals.
