i have an axle at home i thought was a d60. idk what it is out of. How can i identify it? It has 60 cast into the pumpkin and has 3.54 gears, but the carrier is bigger than i remember a 60 being. the side gears also have a shoulder on them, about a half inch. Idk the ring gear diameter or the axle shaft diameter. but there are 46 teeth on the ring gear and 13 on the pinion. and they are 16 spline shafts. also the brake drums are very narrow. Can anybody identify this axle for me? D60? D61? D70? thanks for the help.
Sounds like a mid 70s or earlier rear 60 axle.
With the 60 cast into it it proably is a 60. Most of
ones i have dealed with are 77 pr newer and have had
33 splines the older ones had 16. Some not many
Had 35 spline. There is also a nomber stamped
on the passenger side axle tube
Get that and theres some places that can tell you what
it came oit of
thanks. i know this one has 3.54 gears and i thought the other ones, (or at least some of them) were also. i will try to get the BOM numbers and post them on here and see what else we can figure out.
