I'm looking at a 1987 F250 for sale. The seller tells me he thinks the engine is a 305 or 306 CID. It's 8 cylinder, fuel injected with an automatic transmission. Can someone tell me if that sounds like the size engine that would have been in that truck for that year? I'm looking to pull a 3-4 horse trailer with it. Would this truck have the power I need?
Thanks.
What about if I'm only occassionally pulling 3-4 horses, but usually 1 or 2 horses or a ton of hay. And we're talking about fairly short distances, usually 10-20 miles at a time. Would that engine hold up to that kind of use?
Thanks.
