Anybody out there have some good information concerning header products for a 1974 F250 Camper Special with 390 and 2WD? Previous owner used to run a set of Shortys but had gasket compression problems often. I'm also running into listings offered for only the 4WD models.
My '73 F100 2wd 390 has Dynomax ceramic coated long headers. I got them from Jegs ($225) about 4 years ago and am very pleased with them. They look good, seal good (I use standard NAPA header gaskets) and have no clearance problems. The only draw back is the header has to come loose to remove the starter - but most all long tubes are that way.
