Steering Shaft;

Does anyone know how to shorten the steering shaft on a 78 f-150? I would like to get the steering wheel closer to the dash.

Installing a smaller aftermarket steering wheel, helps in creating leg room and will move the steering wheel closer to the dash.

remove the plastic cover where the steering column meets the dash, there will be two bolts in slotted holes...looosen them and push the steering column foward the desired amount
