Hey Guys
Just phoned home from work today and get told that someone stole the rear wheel and tyre off of my 84 4X4. Go figure. I guess they also took the wheel nuts but left me a jack. .. The truck was parked in our backyard. The nerve of some of these little f******. I have other wheels and tyres so its not a big deal. What really gets me is the fact that it was sitting up on the jack and fell off of it. Fortunately my 3 year old or the little dog was not out anywhere near at that time. The other thing is that lots of times I don't even take the keys out of the trucks, let alone lock them. I guess I will have to start tho.
You know if someone had asked if they could get a tyre from me I would probably say ya go ahead or here is my spare from a truck when you get yours fixed just bring it back. I can't even remember if it was a good wheel and tyre or not.
Sorry guys just wanted to rant. Its been a tough week at work I can't wait for Tuesday to go home
You guys have a great day.
Duncan
That would make me rant too, I think it is very stupid/ignortant to steal. Did this happen at Radisson? It seems like a very nice place full of great people but all it takes is one or two idots.
Hard to believe that people will do stuff like that. I too leave my keys in the truck often enough. On the farm vehicles, I always leave the keys in. Well, not any more. My 4 year old might try to take off in one of them. Unless I'm going away for a few days, I never lock my house. Good thing I don't live near PA!
I was in town a few days ago and after finishing what I was doing in the store, my wife comes up and asks me where my keys are. No idea. They should've been in my pocket. Nope, still in the ignition with the doors unlocked! Oooops.
Dunc, are you going to bother reporting it?
Yeah fom if you left your keys in your ride around here, consider it gone. I rarely leave my doors unlocked even when I run into the house for a minute or two.
That does blow(At least they left a Jack for compensation) , every truck of ours has a key in it. We had a crime spree here a while ago were people would take a farm truck and go for a joy ride, not many rear tires survived. And when someone takes your truck for a joy ride it must feel similar to a guy sleeping with your wife.
Years ago we had a our swather toolbox sorted through. They could have had the swather it was in the middle of a field ready to go.
I wonder if anyone around radisson has seen a vehicle with a flat tire on it, Or a flat on a rim in the ditch. Probably some jack *** just stole yours to replace his. I used to see lots of abandoned vehicles along the highway to Lloyd.
