I had a tune up when the service engine light came on about 6 months ago. Replaced spark plugs (motorcraft) and cables. Ran a little better, but the problem still poked out every now and then. Oh, and the service engine light hans't come on since then.
Now it is worse than ever. Miss and shakes at idle speed and up to 2,000 RPM's. Hooked up to a reader yesterday and it read a cylinder 1 misfire. Checked the plug and cable on cylinder one, and it was fine. Went back and hooked up the reader and got NO reading. NOTHING. But it's still missing. Any suggestions?? Anyone had this problem before??
I would check it out first I said that because you said there was a misfire its just a guess. I could be wrong check to see if the resistance is even all the way across should be 0.3-1.0 ohms thats between ignitioncoil pin 4-1 coil 1 thats what my chilton book says there is more info but that should get you started . Good luck I hope this helps
