I recently replaced my radiator, and with removing the old one all the tranny fluid leaked out. So I thought it would be the perfect time to replace the tranny filter and fill it up with fresh fluid. My problem is that now the truck is running funny. It's idling rough, struggles to stay on when I put it in reverse or dies, and sometimes dies when I come to a stop. Then I also noticed that after I shut the truck off that there is a buzzing sound coming from the tranny pan and buzzes for about a minute. Any idea what went wrong when all I did was replace the radiator and the tranny filter and fluid. Any help or ideas. Thanks in advance.
What year is your SD? Any other specs you can share?
If you have the 4R100 trans, then are you certain you installed the filter correctly? Also, did you make sure and purge the tranny lines of all the air?
Get back with that info...and I am sure more will chime in.

Low fluid or an incorrectly installed filter can do that.
Any line that has air in it will purge itself in the first couple seconds after the engine starts. There is nothing special that you could do to purge the lines.
get it warm and check your level in park or nut. it most be between the marks when warm. run it into drive and reverse a few times and recheck in p or n.
which filter did you change the in line or the one inside the pan?. and did you use the correct fuild
