Cal Tracks are the hot set-up. I have the same article, as well as a couple others, that Brain posted and was planning on building a set for my truck but I don't think they would work with my front spring mount. I recently sent the article to a buddy of mine with a 03 Lightning that I think he is going to try to build a set for his truck. With over 500 ft. lbs. of torque at the wheels, slapper bars just don't cut it.
Knucklebuster, those times aren't too bad at all. My best 60ft. time so far has been 1.96, but I average a 2.0 60ft. times and my best 1/8 mile time has been an 8.91 @ 77 mph. Keep up the good racing.
AX, do you have any links to Pro Solo racing? It sounds pretty fun and exciting. Too bad I don't have anything that could compete, or at the moment anyway.
It's very intense and exciting! Two mirror image twisty windy courses ~ 35 sec in length, xmas tree start in the center, reaction time counts. Sat AM you run one side, come back and switch sides and run again. Repeat each side 1 more time for 4 runs total. Repeat entire sequence Sat PM and Sun AM for a total of 12 runs, 6 on each side. Your quickest time for each side out of those runs are added together for your class position. On Sun afternoon the class winners and the closest to them for a total of 32 competitors are run against each other with the tree handicapped by winning times, once on each side in a round robin single elimination runoff for the overall "Super Challenge" winner. Series points are accrued by class finish and Challenge finish, with double points awarded for the Finale (year end championship event) to determine the National ProSolo class and Challenge winners.
