i had recently purchesed some 2in coil spring spacers and coil springs which brought my front of my 93 f150 4.9l 4x4 about 3in. what do you guys think about this to help fix my bad camber i had on my wheels when i had put the spacers and springs on?
Yes those drop brackets do help get everything back close to spec, but you may also need offset ball joint bushings, but with only 3 inches of lift, I doubt it.
As far as a weak spot, these do put a bit more strain on the engine x-member, and I have heard of guys tearing the x-member or the frame, but I don't know how extreme they were going. I have been running mine with 35" tires, 6" drop brackets, and go 'wheelin about every other week (normally) and I have never had any problems.
i do have the adjustable camber bushing also i bought. mayabe i will try these. where i go its nothing major just a buch of puddles with some rocks but i go slow thru them unless i know their is no rocks i just give it.
