88 Bronco ?Fuel issues?
I just got a 88 Bronco yesterday, the only problem right now that I can find is that it does not like to start, and if it is cold, it will die right after starting. Should I start with the fuel pumps and make sure they are functioning correctly? If so, how can I test them?

get a haynes manual. also check out www.fordfuelinjection.com on how to pull codes using a paper clip. when you turn the key on you should hear the fuel pump kick on. you can hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel line up by the intake. you will see a valve like a valve stem on a tire. also check for spark

Thanks, I checked the fuel pumps this morning, they both engage. I am thinking that it may be a clogged filter or line. I have not pulled the codes yet, I will do that this weekend. It seems to be starting a little better now. I did a oil/filter change and will change the fuel filter tomorrow.
