95 bronco fuel guage problem
hi,
i just noticed a problem with my fuel guage. When the needle reaches half tank, it starts to swing or slide over past the full mark then back. The needle seems to sway back and forth as the vehicle level changes or as i increase RPM(not sure which one causes this movement). It seems to stay pegged past the Full mark as i consume more fuel. But when i fill the tank full, the guage acts normal again, until it reaches that half tank mark. All the other guages are fine. Where do i start to look?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

95 bronco fuel guage problem
This is uncanny. I had the exact same problem with my 94 Bronco. I replaced the sending unit and it is all better now. My original problem was a bad fuel pump so I dropped the tank to fix that and when I put everything back together the sending unit starting acting up immediately. I believe that I was a little too rough with it when I was replacing the fuel pump and damaged it. New sending unit, and everything is alright.
