I recently bought a 67 f100 with a siezed 240 engine and shot cab mounts.i am replacing the engine with a 300 pretty soon. my question is how do i replace the cab mounts.and what years of the inner fenders will fit my truck im sure the 67-72 will fit but what about the 73-79. thanx
Motor Haven sells the inner fenders at the following link:
http://motorhaven.autoanything.com/cgi-bin/Web_store/webshop.cgi?yearmodel=1967&product=FENDER&cart_id= 7243701_13777
They listed only the 67-72, as you suspected. Once the "Search" feature is active again, you can probably look through past links and find something about cab mount replacement. Not sure if there was a tech article on that or not.
Redrilling the hood is not necessary as the 73-79 hinges bolt right up to the older hoods. They are just mounted on the opposite side of the inner fender rib.
Do the inner fenders also bolt to the firewall in the same fashion?
